Germany beat Argentina 1-0 in the second period of overtime. Considering the tournament as a whole, the Germans were clearly the best and most consistent team.  But what is even more amazing is that of the 20 world cups so far, Germany made it to 8 finals (40%) and won 4 (20%).  That is a truly remarkable record. So Kudos to Germany.
